The official theatrical trailer for »Appaloosa«, the Ed Harris western, with Viggo Mortensen, Renée Zellweger and Jeremy Irons. The story is adapted from Robert B. Parker´s novel of the same name, centered on a pair of friends hired to protect a lawless town suffering at the hands of a renegade rancher. The arrival of an attractive widow disrupts their plans.
When two gunmen, Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch, arrive in Appaloosa they find a small, dusty and lawless town suffering at the hands of renegade rancher Randall Bragg. Bragg has not only taken supplies, horses, and women for his own, but also has left the city marshal and a deputy for dead. In Bragg they find an unusually wily adversary who raises the stakes by playing with emotions. It is now up to Cole and Hitch to stand against the actions of the renegade rancher, which have already taken their toll on the town.
Set in the Old West territory of New Mexico, »Appaloosa« revolves around a pair of hired guns (Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris) who come to clean up a dangerous town run by a ruthless, powerful rancher (Jeremy Irons) and his band of outlaws. While boldly bringing new order to the town, the two fearless lawmen meet a provocative outsider (Renee Zellweger) whose unconventional ways threaten to destroy their decade-old bond.
Based on the 2005 Western novel by Robert B. Parker, Appaloosa is centered around two friends who are hired to defend a town from a lawless rancher. Their plans are disrupted by the arrival of an attractive widow.
